A stranger walks into a bar
Come and spend an evening at the pub and witness a meeting of tale tellers. As two bar staff and a mysterious young man pull us into a cycle of mistakes and mischief, the wondrous and the absurd, the unbelievable and the everyday.
A little different in every location, this entriguing new play will grow and change throughout the summer as it travels from pub to pub. Grab a pint, pull up a chair, and join the people who are always listening.

Hide AdA show that will bar hop its way around Glasgow and Edinburgh on its way to the Fringe, sharing and collecting stories along the way. A Stranger Walks into a Bar fuses the folk tales that have been passed down to us with contemporary overheard-at-the-pub anecdotes. A lively, amusing, and occasionally bizarre celebration of people, everyday life, and the joy of a tale welltold.
The show will alter a little between each venue, continuing to collect material as it travels. It will be accompanied by a blog and a small online archive documenting characters’ travels and the tales they encounter over the summer.
Each night, the audience will also be invited to stay for a drink and a blether with the cast after the show has finished. Tickets £8.50/£6.50.
