Pic of the Week: Among the Birks, by Keith Beard
I took this shot in the Birks of Aberfeldy park in late October.
It was a wet day and the autumn colours were almost gone. The exposure time was 0.5 sec, slow enough to give a sense of the rushing waterfall, but not too slow to blur all the detail.
A wide angle lens and an aperture of f16 made sure that it is sharp throughout. A polarising filter was also used to reduce the glare from the wet leaves in the foreground.
