Forth stages second Gentle Giant Festival
Last year what was originally planned as a one-off music festival was held there as a response to an English-based travel writer’s allegation that Forth was something of a backwater where nothing ever happened.
He then made the cardinal sin of making a disparaging comment about a local hero, the late George Gracie, once recognised in the Guinness Book of Records as Scotland’s tallest man.

Hide AdSpurred by this slight, a group of Forth musicians and music fans proved the writer wrong by staging the Gentle Giant Festival – named in George’s memory – last June, the multi-style event being a huge success.
So huge, in fact that it has been decided to hold this ‘one-off’ event again!
The Second Gentle Giant Festival will take place on Saturday, June 1 and, as with last year’s event, will be held simultaneously at four different venues throughout the village, each featuring a different style of music.
