Kirkintilloch food festival has recipe for success
The inaugural ‘SeasonED to Taste’ festival will take place in Kirkintilloch town centre on April 26-27.
There will be a range of mouthwatering events on a Scottish-Italian theme, including the ice cream competition for young people aged 12 and under.

Hide AdIt was recently launched at Ghiloni’s cafe, with one early entry suggesting the unusual combination of chocolate and beetroot.
Ghiloni’s co-owner Anthony Rossi said: “We have received some weird and wonderful recipes already. I’m sure we will get more entries during the Easter holidays.
“The winner will get the chance to choose an ice cream cake and will also be invited to come in to see how our ice cream is made.
“I’m interested in seeing what the children come up with. We are looking for a new ice cream flavour combining iconic ingredients from Scotland and Italy.”
Other events being held include a traditional market, food vendors, a beer tent, a cooking competition, food and drink promotions, music, entertainment and food foraging excursions.
