Blaine lands victory
Greenfaulds High pupil Blaine O’Donnell (15) was part of the Scotland team which competed against England, Ireland and Wales in the Youth Fly-fishing International at Lake of Menteith.
Not only did the youngster help the Scots retain the title they won in Grafham, Cambridgeshire, last year, but he also took two top individual awards.

Hide AdHe was presented with the Stirling Council Trophy for Top Scottish Rod and the Welsh Water Authority Trophy Brown Bowl for Heaviest Overall Basket.
Overall Scotland finished with 54 fish for a total weight of 124lbs 12ozs. Wales were second with 38 fish for 89lbs 11ozs, Ireland third with 35 fish for 87lbs 1oz and England fourth, also with 35 fish for 82lbs 7ozs.
