Rangers close in on Bacuna
Rangers have been heavily linked with a move for Huddersfield Town midfielder Juninho Bacuna for a while now, but The Scottish Sun are now suggesting that a deal could be imminent.
Gers boss Steven Gerrard also delivered an intriguing update on his side’s transfer activity, claiming: “I am hoping for more positive news in the coming hours and maybe sometime on Thursday.”
Hoops make Giakoumakis contact
Celtic have made an approach for Greece striker Georgios Giakoumakis from Dutch second division side VVV-Venlo, according to Sky Sports.
The forward was the top scorer in the Eredivisie last term despite his side suffering relegation.
Bacuna completes Rangers move
Rangers have confirmed the signing of midfielder Juninho Bacuna from Huddersfield Town. The player was unveiled to the Ibrox crowd during last night’s Europa League win over FC Alashkert.
Hoops agree Giakoumakis deal
After reports yesterday linked Celtic with a move for Greek international Georgios Giakoumakis, the Daily Record are now claiming that the Scottish giants have agreed a fee of around £2.1 million with Dutch outfit VVV Venlo for the 26-year-old striker.
Gers bid for Ivanic
Rangers have made bid to sign Crvena Zvezda and Montenegro international midfielder Mirko Ivanic, according to Mozzart Sport. The Serbian news outlet reports on their website that the Gers have offered £3million for the versatile 27-year-old, who can play across the midfield.
