Youngster ‘maimed’ by vandalised fence in horror accident

A SOCCER starlet was left writhing in agony after running into a piece of broken fencing

Fraser Thomson (11) injured his lower abdomen when he collided with the vandalised wire fence at the Huntershill complex in Bishopbriggs.

The St Helen’s Primary School pupil plays for Rossvale Boys’ Club 2000s.

Fraser’s dad, Victor, said: “He went for a tackle and was injured by a piece of broken fence when he ran behind the goal.

“The fencing has been broken for weeks and there are bits sticking out.

“Fraser was in extreme pain and he has not been able to play football since.”

Victor added: “I am very angry about this. The council was informed several times about this problem and nothing was done to address it.

“Rossvale have a great number of teams using this facility, from five-year-olds to young adults.
